Music Crossword Puzzles
Music splits neatly into two halves in a crossword. There is the theory side — TEMPO, MINOR, CODA, CLEF — which is compact and behaves itself in a grid, and there is the listening side, where a clue about a decade or a genre lands instantly if it was your decade and not at all if it wasn't. Between the two, most solvers find a way in within a couple of clues.
The puzzles here draw on instruments, notation, genres and the broad sweep of popular music without turning into a pop quiz.
