Geography & Travel Crossword Puzzles
Geography is the oldest crossword theme there is, and it holds up. Capitals, rivers, seas and mountain ranges give a setter answers of every length, and the physical vocabulary — FJORD, TUNDRA, DELTA, ISTHMUS — supplies exactly the kind of word that feels good to write in once the crossings confirm it.
These puzzles mix world geography with British places and the language of travel, so you will find a Peak District valley in the same grid as a South American river. A new one appears each week and the rest stay in the archive underneath. They are free, work on a phone as well as a laptop, and print onto A4 with an answer sheet if you want to hand copies round on a long journey.

What makes these fun to solve
- • Landform words are the classic crossword fill and always welcome.
- • British places sit alongside world capitals, not below them.
- • An atlas is allowed. Nobody is checking.
Common questions
- Are these crosswords free?
- Yes, all of them. You can solve every puzzle in the archive in your browser without paying and without making an account. There are ads on the free site, and a small supporter option if you would rather not see them.
- How often are new puzzles added?
- One new puzzle in each theme every week, and the older ones stay in the archive on the same page rather than disappearing.
- Can I print the puzzles?
- Yes. Every puzzle has a print view that lays the empty grid and the clues out on A4, with a separate answer sheet, so you can run off a copy for each person.
- Can I make my own geography crossword?
- Yes. Type in your own words — places from a trip, a school topic, or your own town — write a clue for each one, and the grid arranges itself around them. It takes about five minutes, and you get a link you can send to anyone, plus a printable version.
